EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a gold-standard therapy in the treatment of trauma, phobias, and attachment disorders. EMDR works by activating both sides of the brain through bilateral stimulation (eye movements, buzzers, tapping, sounds, etc.) to help reintegrate traumatic memories into the brain in healthier, more adaptive ways. EMDR can reduce unwanted flashbacks, distress, panic, worthlessness/helplessness, dissociation (and more) resulting from traumatic events.
